Hey everyone,
I built https://boxqr.io and recently added an AI feature that I think this community would appreciate.
BoxQR turns storage boxes into something you can scan and search.
Basic idea:
- Create a box
- Print the QR label
- Stick it on the physical box
- Scan it anytime to see what’s inside
The AI part:
You take a photo of the contents of your box.
AI scans the image and automatically generates the item list for that box.
That removes the manual “type every item” step completely.
It also improves search later, because the detected items become searchable across all your boxes.
So instead of digging through bins or trying to remember where something is, you just search and find the box instantly.
This is built for:
- Moving
- Seasonal storage
- Garage organization
- Holiday decor
- Parents managing kids’ stuff
Not warehouse inventory software. Just normal people organizing their homes.
Curious what this group thinks:
Does image-based item detection feel like the right AI use case here?
What would make this even more powerful without overcomplicating it?
Appreciate any feedback.
